In preparation for my new nanny job, I got CPR certified this past weekend! I used SureFire CPR’s “all-in-one” course which covered:
- adult, child and infant CPR
- Automated External Defibrillator (AED) use
- Conscious and Unconscious Choking for victims of all ages
- Basic First Aid
SureFire CPR started in 2009 by a firefighter who was disappointed with the quality of many other CPR courses offered to the public. They have 4 highly rated Southern California locations to choose from: Corona, Laguna Hills, Orange, and Los Angeles.
What I liked:
- The course offers same day certification cards. In total, I was in and out in about 3 hours.
- There are add-on options when you register for the course (First Aid kit, CPR key chain mask etc.) for an extra fee
- SureFire CPR digital book is included with your registration so you can reference it any time you need a refresher
- A promo code is emailed to you upon completion to use when it’s time to renew your certification

Coolest Thing I Learned: how to treat burns, CPR and Heimlich Maneuver for infants
Registration was quick and easy. I definitely recommend this company and they’re also highly reviewed on Yelp! if you want to read some reviews yourself. So check them out if you’re looking into getting CPR certified and live in the Southern California region!
